An exciting position has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven Commercial Manager within a leading technology company based in Edinburgh.
This company is going through an exciting period of expansion as it commercialises its novel technology in the food & drink, pharmaceutical and speciality chemicals industries.
This role will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting into and working closely with the CEO to identify potential customers, understand their requirements and create technical and commercial proposals.
The successful individual will operate as the function head and as such will have the expertise necessary to create and drive relationships to ensure commercial success in closing sales as well as deliver internal confidence in their strategy through results.
The Commercial Manager will have responsibility for growing a profitable portfolio of customers, with full commercial accountability for negotiating and overseeing contracts.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Management of existing customer relationships and pipeline projects to ensure good solution delivery and that each opportunity is fully maximized.
- Identification and development of new business opportunities and prospective customers
- Work with the CEO to develop a business development strategy, roadmap and plan which will support the company’s growth ambitions.
- Provide regular market intelligence to the management team so that they can keep abreast of trends, market dynamics, opportunities and threats.
- Networking with industry stakeholders and through relevant business events, seminars and exhibitions
