Account Manager - Edinburgh

My client is a Scottish technology centred life sciences business with a customer base across the developed markets of the world. The Edinburgh based business is at the forefront of disease diagnostics, cancer research and drug discovery efforts and is an industry leader in this fast-developing global marketplace.

We have a unique opportunity for an Account Manager to plan and carry out sales activities with established, international clients.

There is tremendous potential to grow with the role and a chance to be a key contributor in the company’s continued success and expansion.

Job Requirements:

Experience and Skills

  • At least 2 years account management or sales experience
  • Excellent communicator
  • CRM experience (preferred)
  • Degree or experience working within Life Sciences (desirable)

Education and Training

  • BSc or equivalent in a relevant field

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage established client relationships to meet & exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Direct responsibility for revenue generation from established clients for all follow-on product sales, product upgrades, repeat laboratory service sales, maintenance contract extensions & consumables.
  • Assist in marketing and product launch activities.
  • Communicate sales activities to Commercial Managers
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline & sales forecast for the installed base in the CRM.
  • Support Commercial Managers’ development of their territory annual plans.
